Heaven Bound is presently a quintet, with two of the members- Liz Collins and Pete Boglino- from the band “Foxfire” that had its origins in the mid-1990s. In those days Foxfire was featured on the Enviro-Aid CD, which also included international artists such as Kathy Sledge (Sister Sledge) and Rick Emmett (Triumph). Due to publicity surrounding this release, the band made an appearance on the Fox Morning Show and gained airplay on several Philadelphia area radio stations.
In the years that followed, Foxfire recorded their 1st full-length CD release “Forever Free”. After several years of performing together, Foxfire’s members broke up to follow individual pursuits. In 2004, three of the original five members reunited with new energy and direction. The reunited band’s roots could still be found in the Southern Blues/Rock ‘n Roll style. In the process of recording their 1st inspirational CD, Foxfire decided to change its name to Heaven Bound, which is also the name of one of their songs.
In 2004, Liz came out with her first “solo” inspirational CD titled “Faith is the Key”. 2005 marked the recording of Heaven Bound’s 1st full-length CD titled “Guiding Path of Light.” In 2009, Heaven Bound released their 2nd CD titled “Who Do You Say I Am?” and also welcomed Joyce Berner (Keys and Vocals), Kurt Berner (Bass and Vocals), and Jack Perry (Lead Guitar) into the fold.
In 2011, Jack 'retired' from Heaven Bound and Dave Powers filled the lead guitar chair. Dave is pastor at Columbia Presbyterian Church in Columbia, PA and was formerly in the band "Found Grace". Dave has a blues rock style that fits Heaven Bound like a glove.
As well as performing with Heaven Bound, Pete and Liz presently help lead a praise and worship team at Hatboro Community Methodist Church, in Hatboro, PA. Kurt and Joyce lead worship at Grace Lutheran Church in Royersford, PA.
Heaven Bound can tailor their set list to any audience and are always looking for different avenues where they can inspire people. They are at home in any venue, but will always remain true to their calling: inspiring folks with authentic, hard-driven, gut-bucket blues rock.
Peace and God bless y'all.
